What QuizFetch Collects

QuizFetch captures quiz questions and answer choices from Canvas LMS pages you visit while the extension is active. This includes question text, answer options, question type, and — after you submit a quiz — which answers you selected and whether they were correct.

No data is collected from non-Canvas websites. The extension only activates on URLs matching Canvas LMS course and quiz pages.

How Data Is Stored

Captured questions are stored in your browser's local storage. If you opt into cloud sync, your data is also sent to a Supabase database (hosted on AWS) to enable cross-device access and search in the QuizFetch web dashboard.

Synced data includes course names, quiz titles, question text, answer choices, and — after you submit a quiz — which answers you selected and whether they were correct. A hashed identifier of Canvas user ID and name is also stored alongside each question.

Your Control

Data stored in your browser's local storage can be cleared via your browser settings or by uninstalling the extension. Synced data can be deleted by opening an issue on the GitHub repository or by contacting the developer through the repository's issue tracker.

Cloud sync is opt-in. You can disable it at any time by clearing the extension's synced ID list or by not logging into the web dashboard.
